Profile:

A solid-structured Kuhailan mare with a regal pedigree, WANILIA is a daughter of two of Poland’s most classic “old-type” Arabians. Most distinctly, WANILIA’s phenotype is directly influenced by her much admired sire ALEGRO – Dutch National Champion – and the sire of several international winners in both halter and performance. ALEGRO is the son of breed legends PROBAT and ALGERIA – the “Queen of Janów” and the “Million-Dollar Mare” – the best source of the classic Kuhailan type and those legendary ALGERIA eyes. Maternally, WANILA is the daughter of another of Poland’s most beautiful, classic Kuhailan mares, WIZYTA, an extremely dry and refined mare of perfect desert charm. Excellence exudes from both sides of WIZYTA’s pedigree, as she is very much the splendid combination of both her esteemed parents. Her sire WERMUT, was perhaps the most refined and classically typical son of PROBAT, the legendary Blommeröd-bred sire of invaluable importance to not only Polish, but worldwide Arabian breeding. This was no doubt the influence of his regal dam WARMIA, arguably the most beautiful and most valuable of the incomparable daughters of COMET. WIZYTA’s dam WIORSTA, a Gold Medal winner at the World Cup in Stockholm, was indisputably one of the most beautiful daughters of British National Champion BANAT. Descending from greatness, WANILIA is a promising modern day member of the “W” branch of the family of WILGA, one of the premier daughters of OFIR to survive the Second World War.
