Profile:

An exhilarating youngster carrying top bloodlines from Poland’s centuries old breeding traditions, Cisowa makes for a solid genetic foundation for any stud, regardless of its specialty.
Cisowa is sired by Polish National Champion Stallion ARARAT, representing the highest level of aristocratic quality, exotic type and exquisite refinement. A son of majestic parents - the most influential Egyptian sire in Polish breeding of the past era PALAS & the “bold and beautiful” racing Triple Crown/Polish & European Champion Mare ARRA – ARARAT is one of the finest examples of the famous Polish “Golden Cross”, a blend of Egyptian blood through NAZEER-PALAS and Polish lines through SKOWRONEK-NEGATIW-BANDOS.
Cisowa’s damline, stemming from foundation broodmatron CEDUŁA, possesses all traits which epitomize the genuine classic Arabian horse: beauty, stamina, longevity, as well as an abundance of prolific and maternal features of its broodmares, evidence of which are the descendants’ results achieved in the show arena, race track and breeding barn.
Racing greats from CEDUŁA’s line include CETANOL, CEDRAT, CALDERON and most recently CELTIS – winner of five races, including the 2010 Derby and Criterium Stakes, an accomplishment the more significant, as it comes in times when victorious racing horses stem from sire and dam lines bred exclusively for speed. Whereas garlands and show ribbons have adorned the necks of CENOZA, CHAOS PERSEFONA, CEFEIDA and CELNA.
The producing traits of this damline can be seen in the number of foals produced by Cisowa’s successive female ancestors: her great-grandam CEDUŁA gave birth to 12 foals, her grandam CELNA – 13, while her dam CERINOLA is just at the beginning of this journey with 4, but still has a long way before breeding retirement. For that reason ladies from the “C” line are hugely popular among breeders, as witnessed in CEDUŁA, CELNA, CEFEIDA, CESENA, CELESTA & CELTA who have both been offered as elite breeding material at the coveted Janów Podlaski Auction in the years past, readily finding foreign buyers.
Today when Arabian horse breeding has become narrowly specialized, focusing on either show, sport or performance horses, equines bearing a genotype as versatile as Cisowa’s are valuable more than ever, as they hold the key to the prototypical Arabian.
