Representing the highest level of excellence and producing abilities, Luanda is in all ways the prototypical Michałów broodmare.
Luanda’s value is first and foremost exhibited through her produce, especially her two successful show daughters: Junior Spring Show class Top Five finalist LANCKORONA and Autumn Show Bronze Medalist, Junior Spring Show class winner and twice Polish Nationals finalist LAWINIA. Both fillies display a talent for a high, sweeping trot, for which they have been recognized with top marks during their showings. With that they add further prestige to the small “L” line, which despite few members includes significant achievers, such as Polish National Senior Champion, Junior Spring Show Champion, Polish National Reserve Junior Champion & European Championships class winner LARISSA (sister to Luanda’s dam LORETTA), Scandinavian Open Reserve Senior Champion, Danish Bronze Medalist Senior Stallion & Mińce Reserve Senior Champion LISSAR, Polish Nationals 2nd place in class finalist LARANDA and double Junior Spring Show class Top Five honoree LUKSOR (Luanda’s brother).
Broodmares from the “L” line are greatly appreciated by breeders worldwide. The few offered at the Pride of Poland Sales have all been big hits with the buyers – LAVERNA (Luanda’s sister, purchased for 140,000 Euro), LARISSA (80,000 Euro), LOZANNA (58,000 Euro) and LORETTA (20,000 Euro) – significantly adding to the auctions’ aggregate.
On the spear side of Luanda’s pedigree we find EMIGRANT, a personification of classic Arabian type and the pride and joy of his maternal stud. Michałów had for years turned down numerous purchase offers, having agreed to part with the stallion only lately at the age of 17, after EMIGRANT had fully completed his breeding duties in Poland. His get include many international champions, but even more importantly – chief sires and broodmares, which further prolong EMIGRANT’s superb genotype. His most recent successful “grandchildren”, beside LAWINIA & LANCKORONA, include Polish National Champion ALBANO (out of daughter ALENA), Junior Spring Show Champion, Polish Nationals & Autumn Show Top Five CHIMERYK (out of CHIMERA), Polish National Top Five ALMANZOR (out of ALANTINA), as well as Polish National Bronze Medalist, World, European & Junior Spring Show Top Five PIACENZA (out of PRIMAWERA).
With three daughters – two proven and one freshly foaled – to continue her legacy, Luanda is ready to take on new challenges anywhere in the world.
