Profile:
Embracing the “bold and beautiful” concept of the Polish breeding program as a winner from the track and finalist from the show arena, Benita is definitely one to set your eyes on in the 2012 Pride of Poland collection.
Benita’s sire ENZO, US National & Scottsdale Champion Stallion, is a horse who has made headlines in North America by means of his numerous champion offspring, among them his poster child, the stunning EDEN C. Although utilized on only a few mares in Poland by means of frozen semen, he has given Junior Spring Show, Polish National and Autumn Show champions and finalists: PALABRA, ALBANO, EMPIRE, DAMA PIK, EL OMARI, WAGIRA, PERESPA, ZŁOTY KSIĄŻĘ and Junior Spring Show class Top Five honorees POEZJA, CERVINIA & WITONIA.
Benita fits right in line with her paternal siblings listed above, as she boasts a class Top Five accolade from the Autumn Show in Janów Podlaski, where she overtook Autumn Show & Arabian Impressions Reserve Champion BAJADERKA, Junior Spring Show Reserve Champion PASSIONARIA & Junior Spring Show Top Five PERESPA.
Naturally ENZO could not have done it by himself. In this case his “partner in crime” was BOGINI, a dark brown beauty bearing an incredible Kuhailan heritage as the daughter of ARBIL. Featured at the 2007 Pride of Poland Sale, BOGINI was ultimately secured in an animated bidding by Joseph’s Arabians of France. Sold in foal to Enzo, abroad she produced JOSEPH’S BOUHDNA, a full sister to Benita, whose good looks were awarded at the French Nationals with a Bronze Medal. Whereas at home BOGINI left another brilliant daughter, BOHEMA, who went on to claim the titles of Polish National Junior Top Five & Autumn Show Senior Top Five.
All these “B-lettered” equines stem from Polish National Reserve Champion Mare BOROWINA, Benita’s great-granddam. BOROWINA’s contribution to the breed includes exceptional racing sires BOHUN, BORYSŁAW & BOREK and capable show stars, as recently seen in BEDUIN (International Norwegian Champion Stallion, Danish & Ströhen Reserve Champion Stallion) and the afore mentioned BOHEMA & JOSEPH’S BOUHDNA. Interestingly, BOROWINA is one of four Janów Podlaski cornerstone broodmatrons which occur as close as up to the fourth generation in Benita’s pedigree. The remaining legendary ladies include ARBA (dam of champion sires ARBOR & ARGO, racing’s Triple Crown and European & Polish National Champion title holder ARRA), BANDOLA (dam of sires of merit BANDOS & BANAT) and EUROPA (Polish National Champion Mare, dam of show and race star EUROPEJCZYK).
