Another gem from Janów Podlaski’s superb collection of EKSTERN daughters, Biruta promises to be a mare of considerable worth to the aspiring breeder.

Biruta ranks among the premier daughters of EKSTERN bred at Janów Podlaski Stud alongside such beauties as ALTAMIRA, CENOZA, PINTA, SEFORA, WOŁOGDA, ATMA & SARBIA. In all of them EKSTERN has exhibited his prepotency by stamping his offspring with his trademark dished profile, arched neck, regal carriage and show-stopping charisma. Biruta possesses these traits in abundance as a numerous class Top Three & Five honoree from the Junior Spring Show in Białka, the Polish Nationals, the Autumn Show at Janów Podlaski and as Senior Reserve Champion Mare from the regional event in Mińce, regularly garnering marks ranging from “19s” to “20s” for type, head & neck and movement.

Biruta is the daughter of BAJADA, a full sister to the “bold and beautiful” stallion BATYSKAF, who excelled as a show horse (Polish National Champion Stallion & Best in Show), athlete (Derby & Criterium St. winner and Racehorse of the Year) and sire of racing greats (multi stakes winners FIOŁEK & MAJOR). Both BATYSKAF & BAJADA are sired by PAMIR, also an archetypal Arabian as Polish National Champion & World Cup Champion and Derby winning Racehorse of the Year. BAJADA’s other accomplished siblings include UK Champion Mare BAJA (also by PAMIR), Middle East champion BAKARAT & Polish National Endurance Champion BAJUS - both sired by PAMIR’s champion brother, PARTNER, confirming the excellent combination of the “B” genes with the bloodline of legendary broodmatron PARMA. Not being outdone by her relatives, BAJADA herself is a Polish National class Top Five finalist and race winner from the track at Służewiec.

The damline of Semrie, to which Biruta and BAJADA directly trace, has gained great respect around the world also for its “D” branch of descendants, as seen in show champions DARDIR, DORNABA, DRUŻBA, DIANA, DZIĘCIELINA, DIASPORA, DRABANT, DRZEWICA, DOBRA NOWINA, DAMA PIK, DIARA, stake winners DOKER, DAR LOSU, DALIDA, DAMIETA, DOMINIKA and the most outstanding racehorse of the last century, the stallion DRUID. Interestingly, the Semrie line descendants have also been some of the highest selling Arabians in the history of Polish breeding: DIANA ($ 1,2 million), DEFICYT ($ 609 thousand), DRUID ($500 thousand) and the afore mentioned BATYSKAF at $ 450 thousand.
