 An irresistibly beautiful and aristocratically elegant broodmare, Elgina embodies the best characteristics of her strong Michałów-based heritage.

Elgina, a Top Five class finalist from the Autumn Show and the Polish Nationals at Janów Podlaski in the toughest competition of senior mares, is one of only two Polish-bred produce of Elran Cup Senior Champion EGNA, a royally bred beauty spurring incredible interest from the international breeding community. Despite numerous purchase offers Michałów was reluctant to let her go until the new uncovering of the Janów Podlaski Sale, being the inaugural Pride of Poland in 2001, where EGNA shone as the auction’s main star and ultimately became its topmost seller at 120 thousand dollars. The high demand for the family’s genotype remained unchanged, as EGNA’s only other daughter, the lovely EGEA, outdid her dam’s price result and earned 160 thousand Euro for Michałów Stud when offered seven years later at the Pride of Poland 2008.

The reason for such lavish spendings is the priceless gene pool carried by EGNA and her descendants in the form of Michałów’s esteemed family of EGZOTYKA and two sires which are today considered epochal to Polish breeding - EUKALIPTUS & PROBAT. As the daughter of EUKALIPTUS, EGNA belongs to an exquisite group of his get that include PASSA, EMIGRANTKA, ESKLAWA, EMANACJA, GRENLANDIA, CZECZOTKA, ERLANDA, LARISSA, PIANOSA & ALTONA. Her distaff side also provides EGNA with splendid company, as her siblings include the highly accomplished EWAKUACJA (Swedish National Champion), ESKALOPKA (another Pride of Poland high-seller at 140 thousand Euro in 2004 and a multi international champion from Europe and the Middle East) & EGZONERA (also a repeated champion from both Europe and the US). This incredible success takes root in the sisters’ dam, Polish National Senior Champion Mare EGZOTYKA, an elite daughter of the legendary PROBAT.
