A harmoniously designed young mare and stellar athlete, Elatha represents an interesting pedigree linebred to Janów Podlaski doyenne EUNICE, dam of the iconic chief sire EUKALIPTUS.
Elatha comes from the first crop of PEGASUS, an up and coming chief sire from the world famed damline of PIEWICA, through her granddaughter PESTKA. Dubbed as the “sire making” branch of PIEWICA, PESTKA’s female descendants have produced as many as EIGHT champion stallions, all active in breeding this very season. This group of versatile males includes sport-oriented stallions (PENTAGRAM, POLIGON, PEDAGOG) and high quality show stars (PRADO, PERSEUSZ, POGANIN and the freshly crowned Scottsdale Junior Champion, Scottsdale Show Supreme Champion & Las Vegas Arabian Breeders World Cup Senior Champion POGROM). PEGASUS himself has accumulated several show accolades in the shape of Autumn Show Senior Reserve Champion, Autumn Show Senior Champion, World Senior Top Ten, Autumn Show Senior Bronze Medalist & Polish National Senior Reserve Champion and with that ranks high as one of the best GAZAL sons in Poland, alongside fellow paternal brothers DRABANT, EQUIFOR, ERYKS, HUN, LISSAR & POMIAN. In the breeding field, PEGASUS has made a name for himself by siring successful show get: Junior Spring Show Top Five GERARD, Breeders’ & International Championships Europe Junior Top Five GOOD BOY and Wrocław Summer Show Junior Top Five FORTYCJA.
The distaff side of Elatha is the family of EUFONIA, a sister to Poland’s first ever National Champion EUKALIPTUS and legendary EUROPA, dam of Polish National Champion and unbeaten track star EUROPEJCZYK. Although foaled in the barns of Janów Podlaski, EUFONIA was later transferred to Kurozwęki and became one of the stud’s most important pillar broodmares. Her descendants have produced exceptional racing horses, stake winners EULERA, EKSPONAT, ELEIN, ESSENTIAL, EFOR and EJNIA - dam of Race Horse of the Year EMAEL. But the family is not all about brawn, as they have some good-looking equines to be proud of as well. The most renown of these is EUSKARA - Swedish National Senior Champion, Ströhen Senior Champion, Vilhelmsborg Senior Champion, World Senior Top Ten & Bairactar Memorial Senior Reserve Champion and a mare who boasts  one of the highest total scores ever achieved at the Polish Nationals - 94,33, which included as many as NINE “20s” (three full sets of top marks) for type, head & neck and movement.
Elatha’s connection to EUFONIA comes through the very gifted EUTROFIA, a numerous class top five finalist from the International Show in Poznań, Bełżyce, the Autumn Show in Janów Podlaski and the Polish Nationals with several “20s” to her name for type and movement.
