Profile:
A sister to multi-champion sire ALBANO and a Junior Spring Show finalist from Białka herself, Alegra is a combination of the most renown achievements of Poland’s two top studs. Her distaff lineage is that of the legendary Janów broodmatron ALGERIA, whereas both her sires GANGES & EMIGRANT belong to the Michałów stallion elite.
Standing at the threshold of her senior life, the just five year old Alegra can already boast success in every area of Arabian performance: at the track, show arena and breeding barn - she displayed stamina placing in the money in several of her track starts, claimed show recognition and became a first time mom to a charismatic filly by Kahil Al Shaqab.
Alegra’s Top Five championship title comes from her very first showing at the Białka Junior Spring Show, where she competed against her peers from the tough crop of 2008, including the likes of such international stars as PSYCHE KREUZA, PARMANA, WIEŻA RÓŻ & EL PIATZOLLA. After delivering a breathtaking performance Alegra was awarded with 42 points, including two top marks for movement and placed second behind the show’s champion PSYCHE KREUZA.
Her Białka results were only natural, as Alegra was simply following the route of her über-successful older brother ALBANO. A Polish National & Junior Spring Show Top Five, Polish National Junior Champion Stallion, Polish National Senior Stallion Bronze Medalist, Scandinavian Open Senior Champion Stallion & Danish National Senior Reserve Champion Stallion, ALBANO is one of the most promising young sires of the new generation, currently making his breeding debut at Turban Stud in Denmark.
Both A-named siblings hail from the iconic “million dollar mare” & Polish National Senior Champion ALGERIA, a name synonymous for the classic Janów-bred Kuhailan, through her best daughter ALBIGOWA. ALBIGOWA lived up to the heritage of her famous dam as the progenitor of (so far) three generations of champion winners (AMRA, ALHAMBRA, ALTAMIRA, ALABAMA, ATMA, ALMANZOR, ALBANO, ALEGRA, AMANITO) and prized breeding horses, which when offered for sale tend to surpass the 100 thousand euro mark (AMRA - 340 thousand, ALTONA - 180 thousand).
The male genes in Alegra come courtesy of Michałów stud and two of their most important sire accomplishments: GANGES & EMIGRANT. Multi-champions from arenas in Poland, Europe and the US, as well as valiant race horses with a rarely seen today two season track career, they derive from the most revered damlines of their maternal studs (EMIGRACJA’s “E” dynasty of champions and GIZELA’s “G” line of proven athletes), embodying the very essence of the Michałów model chief sire.
