Named after the mythological mount of the God Vishnu, Garuda is indeed as god-like in her looks as her namesake.
Garuda is first and foremost one of the notable get of GALBA foaled on Polish soil. This multi European and Middle Eastern champion stallion was utilized at Michałów stud for two seasons, during which he blessed the stud with such acclaimed stars of the show arena as EL SAGHIRA (Polish National Junior Top Five, Belgian Arabian Prestige International Junior Reserve Champion, UK International Junior Reserve Champion, Ströhen International Senior Bronze Medalist, Polish National Senior Reserve Champion, World Senior Top Ten), PADOVA (Austrian International Junior Reserve Champion, Prague Intercup Senior Reserve Champion), GORDION (Arabische Pferde in Westfalen Senior Bronze Medalist), ERMINA (Junior Spring Show class winner) and last but not least - GOLTERIA, a full sister to Garuda.
At the age of two GOLTERIA won her classes in grand style at the Junior Spring Show in Białka and the Polish Nationals. On both occasions she was recognized with the highest score among 2 year old fillies and top marks for her trot. Remarkable movement is typical of this family, as another of their siblings, GARDEJA, has in turn displayed great talent in performance classes, winning and placing in the top three of Dressage, Classic Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, Native & Polish Costume categories at the Autumn Show in Janów Podlaski.
Garuda’s and her talented sisters’ dam GOTLANDIA is out of the highly decorated GRENLANDIA - Babolna International Senior Champion, Polish National Senior Champion, UK International Champion & Arabian Masters Senior Reserve Champion Mare. As a daughter of EUKALIPTUS, GRENLANDIA belongs to an exquisite group of female equines sired by Poland’s first National Champion, consisting of EMANACJA, ERLANDA, PASSA, ESKLAWA, LARISSA, PIANOSA, HULANKA, CZECZOTKA, EGNA, HEROLDIA, PEPESZA, ALTONA & AMRA, which have gone on to become superb broodmares, having produced the likes of EMILDA, EMANOR, EMANDA, ESPADRILLA, ELANDRA & PIANISSIMA, to name but a few.
GRENLANDIA fits right in with the above, as her breeding career also includes daughter GRANADA, an extremely capable producer with as many as five offspring that have left their marks on the show arena: GALAHAD, GANGA, GAJA SELENE, GAJA NIKE & GAJA IRIS are all numerous class top five finalists from the Junior Spring Show, Polish Nationals, Autumn Show, Falborek Show, Orientalica Show, DSAH Arabian Event & Ströhen. Furthermore GAJA SELENE, a class winner from Białka, is the dam of GAJA HERA, a Junior Bronze Medalist from the Breeders’ & International Championships Europe show series.
