Profile:

Breeders that have followed this year’s competition at two of the USA’s most significant shows definitely know the value of this one - Pietra is out of a sister to POGROM, the 2013 Scottsdale Senior Champion Stallion & Show Supreme Champion, as well as Las Vegas Arabian Breeders World Cup Senior Champion.
Descending from Poland’s most accomplished damline of the modern area - the “P” line of PIEWICA - Pietra has a lot of expectations to live up to. And she has done quite well - in 5 out of her 6 performances she has surpassed the meaningful 90 and 40 (depending on the judging system) point mark, which on two occasions secured her a place in the top five of her class at the Polish Nationals, the Autumn Show in Janów Podlaski and in Prague. Pietra’s older sister PENTA walked a similar show route, exceeding 40 points and placing twice among the top five in her class at Białka’s Junior Spring Show.
Both females, Pietra and PENTA, are the best produce of their dam PEPINA, which is contrary to what this branch of PIEWICA’s family is famous for - namely exceptional sires. Not searching far, PEPINA herself is not just a close relative, but a SISTER to as many as FIVE chief sires active in breeding today. This incredible group of masculine, correctly built sires, greatly valued by breeders both from within and outside the Arabian equine community, includes: superb racing athletes PENTAGRAM, POLIGON & PEDAGOG, all utilized in sports-oriented breeding and show stars: Junior Spring Show Champion/Best in Show & Autumn Show Senior Top Five PRADO and the most recent sensation - Junior Spring Show Champion/Best in Show, Polish National Junior Champion and 2013 Scottsdale & Las Vegas winner POGROM.
If this sire collection was not enough to choose from - there is more. PESTKA, PEPINA’s great-granddam, can be considered to have established her own sub-branch of PIEWICA specializing in chief sire production. Apart from the above, PESTKA’s daughters have contributed to Polish breeding with the following champion chief sires active today: PERSEUSZ, PEGASUS & POGANIN.
On the spear side Pietra is a premier Polish daughter of EDEN C and the first one to be offered through public sale. This US National Junior Champion & ABWC Gold Supreme Senior Champion from Las Vegas has crossed very well with Polish damlines. From 16 foals of show age in Poland (as of 2012), half are superb show material. The best include Scandinavian Open Junior Champion/Best in Show, Polish National Junior Champion, All Nations Cup Junior Reserve Champion & World Junior Top Ten PRIMERA, Autumn Show Junior Reserve Champion BERENIKA and twice Junior Spring Show Top Five & Autumn Show Junior Champion AMANITO.
