Despite her young age Bohema has had her share of show and breeding experience, as she has already basked in the spotlight of the winners’ circle and reveled in the delights of motherhood, having given birth to her first produce this year.

Bohema’s sire EKSTERN is a horse which needs no introduction: a son of the remarkable MONOGRAMM and the highly prized bloodline of Michałów’s “E” champion dynasty. The ultimate star – 9 times shown, 9 times undefeated in the highest ranked European venues. Without a doubt a true champion-maker, whose list of get includes multiple winners all across Europe and the Middle East.

Bohema is no exception. All her performances at the Junior Spring Show and Polish Nationals – two of Poland’s most prestigious venues  – were awarded with total scores of 90 points or above, which included several “20s” for movement. Furthermore she also boasts the titles of Polish National Top Five Filly and Janów Podlaski Autumn Show Top Five Mare.

Her superb qualities come not just courtesy of EKSTERN, but also Polish National Reserve Champion Mare BOROWINA, Bohema’s great-grandam. BOROWINA’s contribution to the breed includes exceptional racing sires BOHUN, BORYSŁAW & BOREK and capable show stars, as recently seen in BEDUIN (International Norwegian Champion Stallion, Danish & Ströhen Reserve Champion Stallion) and Bohema herself. Interestingly, BOROWINA is one of four Janów Podlaski cornerstone broodmatrons which occur as close as up to the fourth generation in Bohema’s pedigree. The remaining legendary ladies include ARBA (dam of champion sires ARBOR & ARGO, racing’s Triple Crown and European & Polish National Champion title holder ARRA), BANDOLA (dam of sires of merit BANDOS & BANAT) and EUROPA (Polish National Champion Mare, dam of show and race star EUROPEJCZYK).

Bohema has deservedly landed a coveted place on the Pride of Poland Sale stage, similar to her dam BOGINI, who earned this privilege in 2007 and was ultimately secured in an animated bidding by a well-known breeder from France. In her new home BOGINI blessed her current owner with the filly JOSEPH’S BOUHDNA who went on to become a Bronze Medalist at the French Nationals.
